This qualification is for learners who would like to develop their understanding of the safe handling of medicines. You will learn how to safely store and dispose of medication and gain an understanding of the difference between different types of medication. You will also learn how to improve service user experience.
This course is available to start throughout August until the end of February, but must be completed by 30 June. If you are paying for the course, you can start on any date throughout the year and have 6 months to complete it.

On completion of this course you will have gained a nationally recognised Level 2 qualification and evidence your competency in handling medication to employers.
Learners could progress onto other Health and Social Care certificates listed on our website.
There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification.
Due to government funding these courses are available free of charge; subject to the learners meeting the set eligibility. You must have lived in the UK/EU for the past 3 years and be over 19 years old. There may be a fee should you withdraw from the course.
