Falls represent the most frequent and serious type of accident in people aged 65 and over, with 10,000 falls happening each day. Falls often have both a physical and mental impact, as they can result in lack of confidence, isolation, fractures and broken bones. This course is ideal for anyone working in health and social care who have contact with older people who are more susceptible to falls.
By completing the qualification, learners will develop in-depth knowledge of falls prevention which could support progression onto other appropriate qualifications and into relevant employment in the health and social care sector.
This course is available to start throughout August until the end of February, but must be completed by 30 June.
If you are paying for the course, you can start on any date throughout the year and have 12 months to complete it.
