This Level 3 course is available for free under the government's new 'Lifetime Skills Guarantee' funding. These courses are designed to help you progress in your current role or get a new job.

Our fully-funded Level 3 courses are available to eligible adults who do not already hold a Level 3 qualification.

The Level 3 NCFE Certificate in Understanding Mental Health is designed to increase your knowledge and understanding of mental health and mental well-being. It will also support your progression into relevant employment within the health and social care sector. The course is suitable for learners who may or may not be in employment, who want to develop technical knowledge to prepare for employment or progress their career by achieving a recognised qualification based on current employer recognised standards.

There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification, however, learners may find it helpful if they’ve already achieved a Level 2 mental health qualification, or qualifications in healthcare or social care contexts.
